Only Handle it Once takes the hoard as both subject and method for making surreal, mischievous and utopian proposals, bringing together artists and writers to explore money, caches, counterfeits, accumulation and decay. Through essays, fiction and artworks the publication asks why we consider certain objects worthy or worthless and questions how we choose to preserve or discard the things around us in the museum, bin, or in the ground.
